Watch our final steps taken to complete pad grading for 869. Excavators move the last mounds of dirt to clear away the pad for future foundations.
The completion of the Soil Nail wall shoring wall for the 869 project was completed in mid-August 2023. Condon Johnson Associates, Mac Brown Excavating and Caputo Construction worked together to install the specialty shoring system called a soil nail wall. This shoring system uses special soil nails or tie-backs that are drilled and grouted in the hillside to support a 6” thick shotcrete shoring wall system. This wall will allow construction of the main residence and the installation of the concrete retaining walls.
Caputo Construction embarked on the installation of a new authentic cobblestone driveway for a circa 1920’s Tudor Architectural Home in Los Angeles. This process included removal of the original concrete driveway, installation of a sub-surface drainage system, a 6” pervious concrete sub slab and original granite 6” cobblestones from Pennsylvania… a beautiful compliment to the amazing residence.
Grading and earthwork ongoing on the site starting this past June 2023. Can you say boulders… well we had tons… Here are some photos of the ongoing grading work, boulders and general driveway work… enjoy!
Enclosed some more grading photos and boulder photos… I am 6 foot 4 and these boulders were big…
